BOOK COVERS

FRANKENSTEIN

This is a Frankenstein book cover that I designed using strictly type. I used different fonts to illustrate the monster’s figure without actually showing the figure. I also added lines falling downward to create an eerie emotion while looking at the piece.

Here is my second Frankenstein book cover. For this design I used strictly “physical” materials. The medium I choose was acrylic paint which I scanned so I could design digitally. I was inspired by Jean-Michel Basquiat, and wanted the Monster’s face to look disfigured and terrifying while keeping a meek and somber emotion in the eyes. The face illustrates the monster’s conflicting appearance and spirit.
